Before I discuss the ins and outs of sex with girls in Dubai, I want to comment on this story I read in Gulf News and say ‘shame on you’ to our judicial system. I believe if you commit an adult crime, then you should get an adult punishement and I am not sure when being 20 years old was not an adult. I think these guys here had a better idea than our courts…but on this subject I will not comment further.
Anyway, a question to the girls. Are the sex lives of Noora from Sales and Layla from marketing normal? Is having a different boyfriend everyweek normal in Dubai for Arab girls? I know us guys can be pretty screwed up on somethings…and doing everything from group sex with blowup dolls, to having sex Filipino lady boys (because in some mens twisted heads, technically having sex with a Filipino man , is still a heterosexual thing) is like normal in Dubai.
Ya3ny I don’t want to say that being perverted is normal for typical Dubai men, but look at Balushi’s life, everyweek he (thinks or tries or both) to get a different European girl in bed. I know a lot of guys who would like his lifestyle and have a different European babe every night. German, Austrian, British, French girls every night one, two or three at a time…but in real life it doesn’t happen. I am sure most of my friends fantizize about this lifestyle, but many would not act on it and the few who do…well they are the minority in my circle.
But it is the girls I want to talk about. Modern Arab Woman are you really like Noora from Sales and Layla from marketing? Is it because much men act like sluts, do women trying to be equal to men try to be like sluts as well? Lebanese, Jordanainain, Kuwatia, Bahrainia and even Emirati girls are you this really promisicuous? Do you try to put that ass around like the way the guys try to put that dick around?

To be honest, Jassim, I am looking at this post in two ways: one of which that you could be - at best - biased towards Sex & Dubai's blog just because of the fact that they are females and that this is not taken lightly in our culture and tradition however we may look at it at how women may 'try' to degrade themselves to the standard of other men around us.
On the other hand, you're talking here about Dubai where prostitution is almost a legalized occupancy for a couple of hundred of Dirhams.
Don't you think you should consider where you are towards what you're writing?

Al Zani lil Zaniyah..I guess no one should be surprised if women start acting this way. It is the society that dictates what is ok for men and not for women, when you forget your religion you are bound to get lost.
So, yes, we hear stories, we see things and I figured "what goes around comes around". When men go around playing with other women they should think other men are out there looking to do the same and a potential target is their own sister, daughter or even wife.
Regardig sex in dubai blog, I doubt they are local, if they are, so what. They don't represent the country in general. But they do indicate a "wave of change". Yes, you said that you never had a relationship before your marriage, you are unique in our mens world. The majority have. Balushi, I think he makes up these stories, he has a good imagination. I really don't think any of it is true, but again, I know of people who are out there looking for women to sleep with.
you can't criticise these behaviour when little subtle things we do at home causes these drastic behaviour.
When parents discriminate between their sons and daughters in many aspects of their life.

Unfortunatly, parents are quick to jsutify the boys behaviour as they don't have a hymen. And the society are quick to blame the girls for anything that goes wrong "she should have known better".

The sexual activity of men in this great Emirate is become famous around the region and everyone know that Dubai is the modern day version of Sodom and Gomorah of the Middle East. So with that in mind, I dont see why the women here should be less chaste and more 'moral' than men when they have grown up in exactly the same environment.

I like Sex & Dubai's blog alot. Its funny and a great read, but I cant remember seeing this statement anywhere. But whatever; Personally I am offended by what they said here, as it is an insult to women of our Emirate where such things as abstinance is still important to many of us.
I would add, with ref to Ali's statement, prostitution would not be so popular in Dubai, if 'regular' arab girls were as promisicuous as some people would like to claim.

About the 1st paragraph, regarding the rape of that boy. I agree that the punishment for rape has to be more severe.
With the way male rape is treated in the UAE and its frequency, it seems that it is viewed more like an act of violence and power than a 'real' sexual act, thats why the punishment is generally so light. In other words, its violence and not sex.
However
I am so very disturbed by the way you implied that such cases should be dealt with in a vigillanti (apolgise for the spelling) fasion. Judging from your other posts over the last year or so you seem to me quite liberal, so it is a bit of a shock to see you agreeing to violence as a means of dealing with homosexual behavior.

The male rape cases, I think are not really 'rape cases'. It seems to be that in most of these cases the sex is consensual but when discovered or found out, the guy passive guy says he is rape, so he can avoid being called gay.
My father has a friend, an elderly man from Jumeirah, who laughs when he recounts the stories of his youth. One of them is how the old (40+) ladies from the neighborhood would 'entertain' the teenagers. They used to take them out for a spin in the old landrover, while all the older men would be gathered in the majlis for the evening.
The boys have always been getting 'it',only the sources have changed somewhat. The women used to be married at a young age, so there was no need for promiscuity. Nowadays there are still plenty of local ladies who prefer to remain virtuous, but the number are sliding.
I think everyone can come up with weird stories of odd sexual kinks in the UAE - including one guy (Local) who pimps his own mother and aunts to his bisexual friends, just for kicks. Hopefully such stories are a minority and CG's conclusion that the 'numbers are sliding' are wrong.

About rape, well that's serious business and needs to be dealt with harshly with the victims being given full respect and not turned into 'tempters' or 'willing participants'.
I know from experience - it affected my life for some time. I can say now that the nightmares have stopped but it's only because I am only know by my Blog name that I reveal this. I am Emirati and I am femaile and my self respect is valuable and I consider intimacy between a man and a woman to be something exceedingly special. Rape is the most foul of crimes as it damages your soul. Yes, the punishment should be very severe.

Really it is important for you to admit this here on our blog, coz i think that when we hear about this girl getting raped here and that guy getting raped there, that we forget it is still a really a sick and incredible violent thing to do or be involved in.

Despite what everyone says, I think the blog addresses intimate issues that are really reflection of the society we live in. Reading between the lines and paying attention to detail it's impossible that the blog is not true. I am not endorsing the behaviour involved by any means, i believe it's everyones own choice what they do with themselves. Sex and Dubai really sheds light on some issues that maybe we as a community need to address and stop being so conservative about. From cheating men to those obsessed with anal sex - the blog does a good job of taking a serious issue and coating it with humor to lessen the impact. There's something we all need to learn and understand here. The authors know it too, they are clearly intelligent women and clearly in touch with the reality of sexual dysfunctionality. I think they are too intelligent to be sluts. And incase anyone is wondering - no I am not sleeping with them. :)
I think sex and dubai's blog is like balushis blog and is just meant to show the the bad parts of Dubai life. I dont believe the stories are real and i am sure there are many men and women like Jassim(local and non local) in this emirate whose lifestyles are alot more chaste than what we read on their blog. Rape has become so common here in the UAE, people take the subject to lightly. Plus there is this general idea that both the rapist and the one being rape are equally at fault, this is the prison sentences are so light.
On the issue of Gay rape: I can confirm that consentual homosexual intercourse is often then classified as rape, if the act is has been discovered by other people (this can apply to hetrosexual rape cases as well). My friend is a doctor and he said many times men come to his clinic complaining of an ailment, and when it is revealed the course of the illness is sexual in nature, the guy usually comes with a story that he was 'raped.' Straight non consensual gay sex carries less of a stigma than admitting that you are gay here in Dubai.

I can't imagine anyone preferring to say they were raped to hide havinig sex. Being raped is such a violation and for a woman it's to do with the fact that we grow life inside our bodies and nurture and feed that life and birth it. So it's all tied up with that and it's awful. I can't say how a man would feel, but it must be awful and shameful - consentual sex I imagine is not like that so to pretend to having been raped is almost as bad as perpeptuating rape - if that makes sense. At least that's how I think, but of course I am biased.
But for a man to be raped is far worse than a woman being raped. Gay sex is total frowned upon in our society so a man would prefer to say that he was forced into it than going into it willingly...if he was ever caught.
We have all heared stories of when two men were caught having an affair, the parents of the younger one tends to say that the older one seduced him, cohersed into a relationship. Basically male homo relatinships seem to be viewed by hetrosexuals as something based on power and control.
