Flashback to Lost again
Every other 'Emarati' blogger has written alot about Lost: Ahmed, Emirati, Yahya and Moyarati, so its my turn.
Most of you people who have left Lost to watch Heroes or some nonesense like that, have done that because you are impatient and not demanding in the television you watch. You like simple entertainment made for simple people.
Most of you say you have Lost interest because its 'too slow'. You prefer to watch silly programs about normal people who turn into superheros (like thats never been done before) or programs about beautiful wifes cheating on their husbands (yeah coz thats so original) or like to watch crime scene forensic dramas about the brutal murder of an average every day person (because you are all sick freaks). You watch this nonsense because that kind of entertainment does not require any thinking or intelligence.
But really you are missing out on Lost. The drama aspect is really more interesting than the sci-fi part, but they both work together and seem verry realistic in the way the stories playout on the screen. Season 3 part 2 begun last week and now we are getting answers about the Island the plane crash survivors are trapped on.
My theory is, is that Scientist from a multinational mega corporation are doing a massive sociological and psychological experiment on the plane crash survivors, but these survivors do not know. But there is a bigger twist. The Island's, facilities are perhaps generated by power made from the Earths magnetic pull, so no one in the outside world can find them.
More interesting than this theory is the flashbacks each character has everyweek. As the viewer we think the flashbacks are just normal tv program flashbacks we see on most other dramas, giving extra information on the characters past lives, but this weeks episode prooves that the flashbacks mean a little more, as one character called Desmond actually realizes he is in a 'flashback' and so tries to change the future.
It is an amazing episode but probably makes no sense if you have never watched this program before. This episode where the screen shots are from is perhaps the best episode of the entire two years of the series...and it very creepy and sinister.

i have never seen lost, somehow it never interested me lol. i think its only wii that grabs my attention always than those TV series that are a nut someway or another. was thinking to drop you an email but cudn't find it anywhere posted, mind writing down your email jassim.
Jassim you cant blame the people for turning to Heroes. People are being forced to fear terrorists and over here we live with the constant threat of the Iranian mullahs. If they rain rockets on our desalination plants, who will save us, not the local hero, superman by himself may not be a match to the mullah mantras. Maybe that bunch of heroes can come to our rescue - after all we are their allies.
Lost is getting lost because of its irregular airing. Now its started again and hopefully mysteries keep on clearing. And what do you think, will Charlie die?
I lost interest in Lost at the beginning of this season, but I heared that the last two episodes were pretty awesome. I guess they are trying to pull the ratings back up.
I will try to watch *ahem download* it this week. Sounds interesting.
Like the last commenter said, programs like Heroes and 24 are more popular because everyone is looking for heroes lol.
The problem with Heroes is that by the end of this season, all the mystery would be gone.
The pilot revealed to much and after the main bad guy gets killed and they save the world...what next? Join the War on Terror? Heroes as already played itself out.
Excellent episode. Its ironic because the ratings apperently dropped heavily the week it was shown. Its still the highest rated program on US tv, but compared to last year it is still low.
BTW I think Clair is going 2 die.
Desmond is my favourite Character. He has always had THE coolest storylines. Charlie deserves to get killed. Good riddance to the offensive prick.
hmmm what's this about? I'm literally Lost!
Oh this episode was very creepy indeed. Desmond's character is alot of fun and more interesting than the dull love triangle story between Sawyer, Kate and Jack.
I think concentrating on their relationship made the ratings fall, but this episode Flashes Before Your Eyes was like the first season episodes and actually gave me the chills.
The Montauk Project conspiracy theory...which is meant to be true:
- Homeless people and orphans were abducted and subjected to huge amounts of electromagnetic radiation.
- People had their psychic abilities enhanced to the point where they could materialize objects out of thin air.
- Experiments were conducted in teleportation.
- A "porthole in time" was created which allowed researchers to travel anywhere in time or space. This was developed into a stable "Time Tunnel."
- Mind control experiments were conducted and runaway boys were abducted and brought out to the base where they underwent excruciating periods of both physical and mental torture in order to break their minds, then their minds were re-programmed.
- Mass psychological experiments, such as the use of enormous subliminal messages projects
Sounds like Lost is following this idea.
@ ahlaaain. the last time i dont have my email coz i dont want to have the people sending me bad messages ;-)
If you want it ask Ali, his email is available and he could email my address too you.
@ Ahmed and Yahya, i think Charlie will die and maybe Clair as well. But like Emirati said, I think Charle should die. He has no purpose on the show anymore.
BTW I meant to add in the post that the memories and flashbacks are artificial, made by the scientist to manipulate the survivors. This new episode prooves that idea.
@ Buj...waw. Lost is too complicated to explain. Even when you watch it for 2 years it is still difficult to explain. The story is complicated.
I have not scene this episode, but everyone is raving about how amazing it was. I am only on the DVD's so I am way behind and I do not think Dubai One will ever pick it up.
I see.. that's why I prefer "24" :)
it's in season 6 now.. and still as exciting.. althought i'm starting to see cracks in some of the episodes.. only because it's about Arabs..
just drop all this and go watch Ugly Betty ... :)
Lost is on MBC Action now, but its only season 1. So we will be 3 years behind :-(
